Last week

was a blur of feeling very unwell and last minute preparations for GoGo Getaway.

Talking of GoGo Getaway it was another fab weekend. De Vere's Theobald Parks, Cheshunt and ScrapaGoGo make for a wonderful combo. The hotel offers a wonderful location, comfortable rooms, tasty food whilst ScrapaGoGo do what they do best, great organisation, fab classes and a shop full of goodies that we all want to get our hands on.  Having gone to all but one of the Getaways I can say from experience that they really do just keep getting better and better.

This year the delegates had the unenviable job of choosing 7 classes from the 21 on offer and the buzz as people came back from class rooms was that they were a hit.
I had 4 classes and I loved designing each and every one. I feel privileged to be given the opportunity to share my passion with ladies who love this wonderful hobby as much as me.

'Hidden Depths' was my Friday evening offering.

There was lots of measuring and cutting but the delegates stuck with it and the results were lovely.

Saturday afternoon I challenges delegates to thread up their needles and get stitching with 'Sew Pretty'. I was so impressed with all the ladies that took this class as some had never done any sewing in their lives and everyone had a go and the results were stunning.

Sunday morning we got down to more cutting and sticking before getting our thinking caps on for the journaling, using one word as a prompt with my 'A Word Please' class.

Finally on Sunday afternoon we got busy cutting, scoring and folding to make a super cute keepsake holder. We were a little short on time, as 'For Keeps' was only an hour long class but everyone got their project finished leaving them to add photo and journaling to the cards included in the kit.

I can't wait to do it all over again in October

This was Him

and Me 23 years ago.

It's one of the few photo from our wedding that I actual like but this one I love.

I was so sure that this photo had been taken but could never find, turns out my MIL had snaffled it, so I snaffled it back some 20 years later!!!

Where's

Mary Poppins when you need her? I need either that enormous carpet bag of hers to shove all the c**p that's taking over my house or that nifty finger snapping trick to magic stuff to the dump, new homes, or just plain put away!
As Mary seems to be unavailable looks like I'm gonna have to do it myself.

How can it be

that it's over a weeks since I last posted?
Anyway Her and Him have left for college and work respectively and I have the day to myself and as I have my April DT kit 'Fabrication"my craft room is calling.
I was so keen to get my hands on the kit that once I knew it was ready for posting out to us all on Friday I drove up to GoGo HQ after work to fetch it. Here's a peek of the kit and the hybrid elements that are available to download for free each month.
It really is the business and I have already made a start on my designs which is unheard of as I'm normally a deadline girl.
Whilst at GoGo HQ I spotted all March's 'Turn it Up' kits piled high ready for posting today so kits should be arriving in the next few day.
Plus I got a sneak peek at the stock for the Getaway shop, my credit card was all a quiver with excitement and all 21 classes, yep you read correctly lined up ready to go. With just over a week to go it's getting really exciting, I literally can't wait.

I managed

a little scrapping and even have something to share.

This is my take on the crop sketch for March's Create & Co Crop at Wyverstone.

Another fab quote

popped into my inbox yesterday but due to a tiresome internet speed I wasn't able to share until now.

“Among the things you can give and still keep are your word, a smile, and a grateful heart.”

I didn't get to do any scrapping the other day, the other stuff took way longer than I thought and a friend popped around for a cuppa and as she brought cake it would have been rode to have turned her away!

I did however manage to these Mother's Day cards made plus most of a LO done today and have plans to spend a little time in my craft room tomorrow

Finished

and it feels good.
Gonna play with Vicki Parker's sketch for March's Create & Co crop which is the last crop that's gonna be held at Wyverstone, so end of a era! Martlesham Heath Pavilion is a great venue with lighting and heating that knocks the spots off Wyverstone and having shops and a pub only a short walk away will be like the cherry on top of the cake but I'll always have a soft spot for Wyverstone.

You can find all the details for the crop here and there's some exciting stuff being planned so keep your eyes peeled.
I'm also gonna get some bits ready for the new crop that's starting in Colchester this Saturday at the Marks Tey Village Hall from 10am - 6pm. Get me being organised.
But first the boring stuff, you know food shopping and housework! Enough said really.
